Our Courses - Exploring Trusteeship

Level 3  (2 days 3 credits)

Aim of the course:

  • To increase the skills of people considering Trusteeship or already acting as trustees by providing them with a comprehensive knowledge of trusteeship, better enabling them to serve their organisation and stakeholders

Objectives:

  • To provide those interested in Trusteeship with the knowledge to be confident and effective as Trustees

  • To differentiate between a variety of policy and procedures that directly influence the work of a trustee

  • To formalise and develop planning for effective governance

  • To alert Trustees to the legal requirements involved in undertaking the duties of Trusteeship

  • To understand the importance of diversity and equality in Trusteeship

  • To celebrate the achievement of learning

Learning outcomes – by the end of the course the learner will be able to:

  • Define Trusteeship in all its forms

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of Trustees both at an individual and at a collective level

  • Develop the forward planning of an organisation at a strategic, business and operational level

  • Identify the necessary policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient working practices to meet legislative obligations

  • Identify financial obligations and develop implementation procedures

  • Devise procedures regarding recruiting, appointment and the management of a range of personnel
