LEVEL 3 (1 day 1 credit)

Aim of the course:

• To increase the knowledge of people considering or already acting as Trustees or Trustee Directors by providing them with an overarching view of responsibilities of trusteeship, better enabling them to carry out their roles

Objectives:

• To examine the responsibilities of Trustees or Trustee Directors in some detail

• To alert Trustees or Trustee Directors to the legal requirements involved in undertaking their duties

• To provide knowledge of effective mechanisms to enable Trustee or Trustee Directors to meet those responsibilities

• To alert Trustees or Trustee Directors to the financial requirements involved in undertaking the duties of Directorship

Learning outcomes – by the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Identify the roles and responsibilities of Trustees or Trustee Directors both at an individual and at a collective level

• Recognise the mechanisms to ensure effective and efficient working practices to meet legislative obligations.
